Early twentieth century
An elegant pair of Louis XV-style living room armchairs, a period reproduction from the late 800th-early 900th century, crafted with high-quality craftsmanship. The frame is entirely hand-carved wood, finished with a refined ivory-white lacquer and embellished with rich gold leaf details and friezes.
The frames feature a flowing, sinuous line, with a contoured backrest surmounted by a prominent central gable decorated with floral and leaf motifs. The elegantly curved armrests, featuring padded sleeves, terminate in arched supports. The classic cabriole legs are also decorated with gilded carvings on the feet and knees.
The upholstery is in fine antique gold/champagne damask/jacquard fabric, featuring an extremely bright raised geometric-floral motif, finished along the edges with a matching trimming.
