Suite of eight chairs in solid walnut and walnut strip. Romagna, mid-19th century. The chairs are characterized by a decidedly refined line, with an open backrest with a wavy line, enriched in the center by an elaborate scroll made with fretwork. Furthermore, the apical part of the backrest is enriched with a particularly thick and variegated walnut burl veneer. The sides of each seat are also striped. The front feet are baluster-shaped ending with an elongated pear-shaped motif, while the rear uprights have a "saber" shaped shape, therefore still reminiscent of the neoclassical taste. But the real reasons that make this group of chairs truly rare are to be found both in the large number of examples and in their exceptional state of integrity. Neither the wooden structure nor the upholstery have any need for replacement or restoration, making these furnishings usable immediately and without any need for additional costs on the part of the prospective buyer.
