Description

Self-portrait of the Cremonese painter Mario Biazzi (Castelverde 1880 – Cremona 1965), unmistakable in his style and quality and pictorial and technical genius.
After attending the Carrara in Bergamo, he moved to Brera, in Milan, where he met and lived in close contact with those who would be the greatest exponents of Futurism and Italian art. Endowed with incredible talent, he won various international awards and stayed in London for two years, confirming himself as the most "European" of the Cremonese painters.
Returning to Cremona he became the official portraitist of the entire bourgeoisie, sought after for the incredible investigative capacity of his portraits, never predictable and always extremely psychological and intense.
