Antique Napoleon III sculpture in patinated bronze depicting the allegory of beauty signed “A.NELSON” belonging to the second half of the 19th century.
The girl's face is characterised by soft, idealised features typical of the French canons of the second half of the nineteenth century.
The eyes are finely engraved and turned towards his left, giving a serene, proud and dreamy expression at the same time.
The hair is wavy and partially gathered, worked with strands that are embossed in a plastic and dynamic way that frame the face and fall down the neck.
The young woman wears a wide-brimmed, asymmetrical, curved hat embellished with a large ribbon tied on the right side.
General Condition: Excellent condition.
Provenance: 19th century France.
