Three-drawer drop-leaf chest with structure veneered in exotic woods and inlaid with fine wood essences, surmounted by a reclining top with a storage compartment inside.
The front is marked by three drawers, one of which is smaller under the top and enhanced by the presence of a dense raceme inlay.
The two larger drawers feature the same raceme inlay and are highlighted by the presence of gilded handles and escutcheons.
The same layout as the front is repeated on the sides and corners with a shell in the centre.
The flap features six internal storage drawers that can be removed using bronze knobs.
Typical truncated pyramidal feet with a constriction ennobled by fillets arranged at the head to underline the corners.
All the drawer bottoms and the back including the hardware and locks are original from the period.
Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen with traditional shellac and handmade alcohol method.
