1445 AD (1502 Vikram era)
10 cm h.
This altar is made of disposable wax bronze casting and depicts 3 Tirthamkara masters (Tirthankara) in the kāyotsarga posture. The Tirthamkara whose etymological meaning is "crosser of the ford" or "victorious" identify the 24 prophets who followed one another in historical cycles to reveal Jainism to humanity. The three figures are without clothes, 'air clothes', the epithet attributed to the Digambara, one of the two currents of Jainism.
The altar is pleasantly worn following continuous and prolonged veneration during the rituals.
The reverse bears an inscription that is difficult to translate and a date that reads 1502 of the Vikram era, corresponding to 1445 AD
